Land Rover Defender

The new Defender has hit the roads and, if you have seen one in real life, we are sure you will be thinking the same as us…

It’s nice, but it’s not a Defender.

So, we are taking a look at the new one versus the old one and seeing how they stack up against each other.

Out with the old

Move aside for the all-new Defender. Sleek and stylish but not quite the Defender we have come to know and love. Don’t get us wrong, we are a fan of the new shape and style, it is a great car in its own right, sharing some DNA with sister brand Range Rover and packed with all the mod cons you could want, even in an entry level model.

The classic

It has been a staple on the roads for decades and still has the power to turn heads. One of the last ones off the production line sold for an eye-watering £400K, so we know for a fact that there are still some die-hard fans out there, not just us! They are utilitarian cars and even the newer of the old models don’t come with full bells and whistles, but they are very fun to drive.

Ultimately, in our eyes they are completely different cars and aesthetically, they couldn’t look more different. The old model has cutting edges while the new one is a lot smoother on the eye. But, we wouldn’t say no to either of them! There’s something about a Land Rover that runs all through the models and even trickles into the Range Rover models too.

Which would you choose? Let us know and if you are in the market for a Land Rover Defender, get in touch and we will see how we can help.
